About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled GenAI / Agentic AI Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will design, build, and deploy autonomous, large language model (LLM)-powered systems that address complex business challenges at scale. Your primary focus will be on developing agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool orchestration, and ensuring the reliable deployment of GenAI systems in real-world environments, particularly within regulated domains such as healthcare.
The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of LLMs, systems engineering, and applied machine learning, creating intelligent agents capable of reasoning, planning, interacting with tools, and operating efficiently across various scenarios. Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
- 6+ years of work experience as a data scientist, preferably in healthcare, but candidates from other industries with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
- Strong proficiency in Python programming and experience building production-grade services
- Deep understanding of LLMs and foundation models such as GPT, Claude, Llama, etc.
- Hands-on experience with agent frameworks like LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, DSPy, AutoGen, CrewAI, or custom frameworks
- Knowledge of RAG architectures, vector databases, and embedding models
- Experience with structured outputs, function calling, JSON schemas, and tool orchestration
- Familiarity with LLM evaluation techniques and failure mode analysis
- Experience with APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization tools
- Understanding of database management, ETL processes, and SDLC concepts
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy agentic AI systems utilizing LLMs, tools, memory, and planning frameworks to solve complex business problems
- Create multi-agent and single-agent workflows for autonomous task execution, decision support, and orchestration
- Develop and optimize tool-using agents, including function calling, structured outputs, APIs, and database interactions
- Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, including document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, and retrieval ranking
- Apply advanced retrieval techniques such as hybrid search, metadata filtering, and query rewriting to enhance system performance
- Fine-tune and adapt foundation models for domain-specific applications using instruction tuning, LoRA, adapters, and prompt engineering
- Establish evaluation frameworks for GenAI systems focusing on accuracy, factuality, latency, and cost efficiency
- Build monitoring and observability solutions for agent behavior, tool interactions, and failure modes
- Partner with governance and risk teams to ensure responsible AI practices, compliance, and traceability
- Deploy GenAI and agentic systems into production environments using cloud-native architectures, implementing CI/CD, versioning, and safeguards
- Optimize AI systems for performance, scalability, and cost effectiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to establishing best practices and standards for GenAI development
