About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating data from multiple sources into unified data domain models to support our analytics and business intelligence activities. This position plays a critical part in enhancing data quality, scalability, and efficiency across our global operations. You will define and implement changes to our data lake data models, develop scalable data pipelines, and optimize data processing workflows. Your work will directly contribute to our mission of helping people get jobs by providing valuable insights into the global job market and enabling product innovation. The ideal candidate will have practical experience working in big data environments, with a strong focus on data modeling, automation, and building reliable data pipelines. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and participation in on-call support for critical data processes are essential components of this role.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics
  • 1+ years of experience with big data and streaming technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift, Hive, Kafka, Spark, Flink, or similar
  • Exposure to workflow orchestration and pipeline tools like Airflow
  • At least 2 years of coding experience in Python or Scala
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and data processing in large-scale environments
  • Passion for data, continuous learning, and staying updated with new technologies

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust data pipelines (ETLs) to integrate data from diverse sources into the Glassdoor (Indeed) Data Warehouse
  • Develop and modify data models, collaborating cross-functionally with product and data teams to meet business needs
  • Provide comprehensive documentation, training, and consulting to data warehouse users to ensure effective utilization
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support critical business data pipelines, ensuring high availability and reliability
  • Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and accuracy
  • Stay informed about emerging data technologies and incorporate best practices into existing processes
