About The Role
The Staff Engineer at HungerRush is a senior-level technical role responsible for full-stack software development within our cloud POS system, HungerRush 360. This position requires a highly experienced engineer capable of contributing across all stages of the development lifecycle—from gathering and defining system requirements, designing and coding robust solutions, to testing, deployment, and documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of modern software architectures, distributed systems, and cloud technologies, particularly in Azure environments. As a key member of our engineering team, the Staff Engineer will help shape our technical culture by promoting best practices, ensuring high-quality code, and mentoring junior engineers. They will also proactively anticipate business needs and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including non-technical departments, to deliver innovative solutions that align with strategic goals. The role emphasizes leveraging AI advancements to improve software effectiveness and operational efficiency, fostering a culture of continuous innovation and automation.
Qualifications
- Extensive professional experience, recommended 10+ years in software development
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Successful track record delivering SaaS, E-Commerce, or consumer-facing web applications and APIs
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud environments (preferably Azure), and modern architecture patterns
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft technologies including C#, Azure, and SQL Server
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams
Responsibilities

- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
- Assist in troubleshooting, bug fixing, and performance optimization of applications
- Document system changes, technical specifications, and best practices to support ongoing development and maintenance
