Key responsibilities include creating and executing test automation, analyzing business requirements, collaborating with development teams, and ensuring industry standard compliance. The position also involves mentoring team members and promoting automation best practices. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required, along with expertise in automation framework development, scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript), testing tools (Selenium, Appium), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Docker).

Role Description

We are seeking a Lead Automation Engineer for a full-time, on-site role located in New Brunswick, Canada. The Lead Automation Engineer will design, develop, and implement scalable automation frameworks and processes to optimize system performance and efficiency. Responsibilities include creating and executing test automation, analyzing system requirements, collaborating with development teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role will also involve mentoring team members and fostering automation best practices across projects.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Automation framework development and test execution
  • Proven experience with scripting languages, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
  • Proficiency with testing tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Docker
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical designs
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Leadership and team collaboration skills, with experience mentoring team members
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in an on-site team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools or processes is desirable
