Role summary

Yield Solutions Group (YSG) is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead their Development, Product, and IT organizations in Centennial, CO. The CTO will own YSG's technology direction, ensuring the platform, teams, and infrastructure can scale to meet growing demand. This role involves setting the strategic vision for the technology organization, aligning it with business objectives, and partnering with business leaders to drive real business outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong technical leadership with operational and strategic experience, preferably in financial services or fintech. Responsibilities include defining technology strategy and roadmaps, leading and developing directors, fostering engineering excellence, ensuring compliance and security, and translating business strategy into technology investments. The role requires 15+ years of experience in software development and technology leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

The Role

Yield Solutions Group (YSG) is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our Development, Product, and IT organizations. You will own YSG's technology direction and be responsible for ensuring our platform, teams, and infrastructure can scale to meet growing demand from consumers and lending partners. This position reports to the Managing Partner.
You will lead the Directors of Platform Development, Product, and IT/InfoSec, setting the strategic vision for our technology organization while ensuring alignment with YSG's business objectives. You will also partner closely with internal business leaders to understand operational needs and ensure technology investments drive real business outcomes. Your work will directly influence how effectively YSG scales its business, expands lender partnerships, and delivers value to consumers.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical leadership with the operational and strategic experience to build and scale a high-performing technology organization. Experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated environments is highly valued, as is a track record of aligning technology investments with business growth.

Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Direction

Define and own YSG's technology strategy and roadmap, ensuring platform capabilities, infrastructure, and tooling support current business needs and scale to accommodate future growthDrive adoption of AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve team efficiency and output quality, and champion the incorporation of AI into YSG's products and business processes where it creates meaningful valueIdentify opportunities to leverage technology to improve operational efficiency, expand lender partnerships, and strengthen YSG's competitive position

Organizational Leadership

Lead and develop the Directors of Platform Development, Product, and IT/InfoSec, setting clear expectations, priorities, and success metrics for each organizationFoster a culture of engineering excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all technology teamsBuild organizational capacity through talent development, hiring strategy, and team structure decisions that support YSG's growth

Business Partnership & Accountability

Serve as the single point of accountability to the Managing Partners for all technology, product, and IT functionsPartner with internal business leaders to understand operational needs, align technology investments with business priorities, and ensure the software your teams build delivers real valueCommunicate technology strategy, progress, and tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders in clear, business-oriented terms

Compliance, Security & Risk

Ensure YSG's technology organization meets all compliance obligations including SOC 2, lender requirements, and applicable laws and regulationsOversee security posture and data protection standards across all systems and environmentsPartner with compliance and business leadership to proactively identify and mitigate technology-related risks.Required Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, or a related field 15+ years of experience in software development and technology leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (VP of Engineering, CTO, or equivalent) overseeing multiple technology disciplines Proven track record of building, leading, and scaling technology organizations across engineering, product, and IT functions Experience in financial services, fintech, lending, or other regulated industries with a strong understanding of compliance, security, and data protection requirements Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into technology roadmaps and investment decisions that deliver measurable results Excellent communication skills with the ability to serve as a credible technology voice with executive leadership, internal stakeholders, and business partnersStrong operational instincts with the ability to balance strategic vision with pragmatic execution in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with Java and React technology stacks, with enough hands-on exposure to engage credibly with engineering teams on technical decisions.Nice to HaveExperience with auto lending, auto refinancing, or consumer credit productsFamiliarity with loan origination systems, credit decisioning platforms, or financial services integration architectures Experience leading SOC 2 compliance efforts and managing third-party auditsExperience with cloud-native architecture, particularly AWS Experience exploring or implementing AI tools and capabilities within a technology organization, whether in development workflows, internal processes, or product features.Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary:
$250,000 - $300,000 annually, commensurate with experience

Bonus/Incentive Eligibility:
Performance-based bonus tied to company growth objectives, technology organization performance, and strategic milestones
