Role summary

Seeking an Intermediate UX Designer for a 1-year onsite contract in Toronto. The role requires extensive experience in UX design best practices, mobile-first and responsive design, and iterating solutions. Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in complex projects, user-centered design, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Proficiency in Figma is mandatory, along with expertise in UX software like JustInMind, InVision, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, Axure, and Zeplin. Experience with Service Design frameworks, design systems, and the DABL lifecycle is also required. Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JS (React, Angular, NodeJS), and Azure DevOps is a plus. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential for leading meetings and presenting to stakeholders. Prior experience in the OPS or Public sector is preferred.

We are seeking an Intermediate UX Designer for a 1-year contract opportunity in Toronto, ON. This is an onsite role.

Must haves:

  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
  • Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in participating in complex projects (products) of different sizes, ensuring alignment to plans, best practices and incorporating user-centred design processes and agile (scrum) methodologies.
  • Must have Figma experience.
  • Expertise in UX software such as JustInMind, InVision, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, Axure, and Zeplin. HTML5, CSS3, and JS skills (React, Angular, NodeJS), Azure DevOps are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills - lead meeting and present to stakeholders.
  • Prior experience with Service Design framework and established design systems.
  • OPS or Public experience
  • Knowledge of DABL (discovery, alpha, beta, Live)
