Turn ideas into learning; turn learning into growth!

Are you passionate about helping people learn, grow, and have those “aha!” moments? Whether you’re designing a new learning experience, facilitating an engaging session, or turning complex information into something practical and easy to understand, you love finding creative ways to make learning stick.

We’re looking for a Learning & Development Specialist who enjoys variety and wants to make an impact across AAA Central Penn. As part of a small team, you’ll design and deliver learning, partner with leaders and subject matter experts, support learning technology, and contribute to development initiatives that help our team members and organization grow.

So, what will you actually get to do?

  • Create learning that connects. Design and develop instructor-led and self-paced learning, videos, job aids, assessments, activities, and other resources that turn business needs into practical learning solutions.
  • Bring learning to life. Facilitate engaging, learner-centered experiences for team members and leaders across a variety of topics and formats.
  • Help people grow. Support onboarding, leadership development, professional skills, compliance, systems training, career development, and other companywide learning initiatives.
  • Partner with the business. Collaborate with leaders, People & Culture partners, and subject matter experts to identify performance and learning needs and determine effective solutions.
  • Keep learning moving. Support the Learning Management System and coordinate learning programs, schedules, resources, and communications.
  • Measure and improve. Evaluate learner feedback and learning effectiveness to continually strengthen content, delivery, and the overall learning experience.
  • Contribute beyond the classroom. Support broader People & Culture initiatives such as succession planning, employee engagement, performance development, and change management.

What You’ll Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, Organization Development, Business, Communications, or a related field, plus three or more years of Learning & Development, instructional design, talent development, or related experience.
  • Experience designing, developing, and facilitating learning for different audiences, topics, and delivery formats.
  • Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems, e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360/Rise, and multimedia development tools such as Camtasia, with the ability to learn and apply new learning technologies.
  • Comfort using AI and emerging technologies to create, enhance, or improve the efficiency of learning solutions.
  • The ability to translate complex information into clear, practical, engaging learning that people can apply on the job.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and project-management skills, with the ability to build relationships, manage competing priorities, work independently, and maintain attention to detail and quality.

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You

  • Love helping people learn, grow, and succeed.
  • Are curious, adaptable, and energized by variety.
  • Balance creativity with practicality, knowing when a learning solution calls for something comprehensive and when simple and useful is exactly right.
  • Enjoy moving between designing, facilitating, consulting, coordinating, and problem-solving.
  • Like experimenting with new approaches and technology and are always looking for a better way to help people learn.

Why This Role Matters

Great learning should do more than deliver information. It should give people the knowledge, skills, and confidence to do something differently or better.

As our Learning & Development Specialist, you’ll help new team members get off to a strong start, strengthen skills across the organization, support leader development, and create learning people can put to work.

If you’re ready to create learning experiences that make a difference while continuing to grow your own L&D expertise, we’d love to meet you.
