Junior Web Developer
Role summary
Abell is seeking a Junior Web Developer to join a small team responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining internal and customer-facing web applications using ASP.Net technologies. The role involves integrating web elements with a backend data store, directing website updates, and developing/validating test routines. Responsibilities include identifying and correcting issues, evaluating code for industry standards and compatibility, and determining user needs based on technical requirements. The ideal candidate will have three or more years of experience in production-quality software development.

Position Summary
Primarily responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining internal and customer-facing web applications using ASP.Net technologies. You will work with a small team of developers to deliver awesome technology solutions for our client base.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of various ASP.Net websites, both for internal users and our customers.
- Integration of web site elements with a large, well-established back-end data store
- Directing or performing Website updates.
- Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.
- Identifying problems uncovered by client feedback and testing and correcting or referring problems to appropriate personnel for correction.
- Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
- Determining user needs by analyzing technical requirements.
Skills & Experience
Three or more years of real-world experience developing and maintaining production-quality software. Domain experience in field service an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, ASP.Net Web Forms and MVC frameworks
- Exposure to the DevExpress component suite strongly desired
- Experience in implementing responsive web design with the technologies noted
- Experience in developing and using TSQL for Microsoft SQL Server
- Implementing third-party API’s (RESTful / JSON) for integration into our solutions
- Good habits working in Azure DevOps
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Fluent English; Written and verbal communication, interpersonal and support skills
- Good analytical skills
- High level of competency, focus on results and providing solutions
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Meet deadlines in a busy environment
