Role summary
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure the quality of federal applications. This role involves designing, building, and executing automated tests across various layers (UI, API, integration, etc.), partnering with product and engineering teams, and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines. Responsibilities include creating test plans, metrics, and supporting performance, security, and accessibility validation. The ideal candidate has professional experience in software quality engineering and test automation, with hands-on experience in frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress. Experience testing APIs, web applications, and cloud-based systems is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with performance and security testing tools, CI/CD platforms, and building reusable test frameworks. This is a hybrid role with a focus on driving positive change within the US federal government.
You are:
A quality-focused engineer who believes quality is built into delivery rather than inspected in at the end. You use automation, risk-based testing, data, and engineering judgment to create confidence across federal applications and releases. You may be strengthening your automation foundation or already be ready to independently own quality for features, services, or delivery workstreams. As your scope grows, you may progress from building and maintaining automated tests to defining quality strategy, improving test frameworks, leading performance/security/accessibility validation, mentoring engineers, and shaping quality standards across teams or programs.
