Role summary

ETI Precision is seeking a Calibration Technician in Frederick, MD. This full-time role involves testing, calibrating, and troubleshooting test and measurement instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability according to industry and customer standards. The technician will work on-site at customer locations, maintaining excellent communication and service. Success requires quick learning of technical skills, adaptability, customer focus, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Basic qualifications include strong communication, physical ability, proficiency in Microsoft Office, customer service skills, organizational skills, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel up to 80% of the year.

ETI Precision is looking for a talented calibration technician to join its growing team in Frederick, MD! This is a full-time role offering competitive pay and great benefits. Calibration Technician will test, calibrate, and troubleshoot a variety of test and measurement instruments. This critical equipment is maintained and periodically calibrated for accuracy, reliability, and conformance to established industry and customer standards. As a calibration technician, you will be relied upon by both our customers and your colleagues within an environment that values professional development opportunities.

Location: On-site at various customer sites in Frederick, MD and surrounding areas. Occasionally at our office in Frederick, MD

Pay Information:

  • Level 0 starts at $26
  • Level I starts at $27
  • Level II starts at $28
  • Level III starts at $32

    • Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Complete accurate and timely calibrations on customer sites
  • Perform routine and complex calibration on a wide variety of equipment per company processes and instruction documentation
  • Perform calibration on a variety of devices and instruments in accordance with established procedures and standards
  • Working directly with the client throughout the calibration process from the first onsite touch point to completion of the project, including good communication to provide client updates on services needed
  • Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry regulations and quality standards
  • Maintain calibration records and documentation, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date
  • Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and support
  • Communicate with customers throughout the process and provide status updates

    • Basic Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Able to climb, kneel, drive, and stand for long periods of time
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations with frequent overnight, out-of-state travel, Monday through Friday, up to 80% of the year. This may also include rare weekend travel.

    • Nice to have:

  • At least two years of experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods, and techniques in metrology gained through education or professional experience
  • Knowledge and experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment
  • Experience working with Manufacturer's Quality Systems
  • Associate's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or other Technical Fields
  • Technical Degree or Certificate
  • Military PMEL Training
  • Metrology experience
  • Experience with IndySoft
