Role summary

Ackermann Group is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician 2 for Trellises Apartments in Florence, Kentucky. This role involves performing unit make-readies, general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, HVAC, painting), grounds upkeep, janitorial duties, and assisting with snow removal. The position is a training role with opportunities for professional development. Responsibilities include responding to emergency maintenance requests and participating in preventative maintenance and inventory management. The ideal candidate has 1+ years of related experience, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma. EPA Type I & II, CAMT, and/or CPO certifications are a plus.

What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician 2 to join our team at the Trellises Apartments, a 301-unit community located in Florence, Kentucky. As a Maintenance Technician 2 at Ackermann Group, you will deliver excellent customer service by performing unit make-readies and maintenance requirements including; assisting with snow removal, grounds upkeep, equipment upkeep and basic level service requests as needed. This is a training role that will provide opportunities to further the employees’ level of proficiency within the maintenance trade. Additional responsibilites include:

  • Physical activities related to exterior grounds maintenance.
  • Janitorial duties helping to preserve and maintain any aspect of the apartment community and its facilities.
  • Pool water management if applicable.
  • Working alone or with other maintenance personnel to perform unit make-ready process as well as intermediate level repairs (i.e. Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Appliance Repair, HVAC & Painting).
  • Participating in move-in/out inspection process.
  • General property maintenance as identified by supervisor.
  • Participating in snow event preparation and removal.
  • Responsible for responding to periodic after hours “emergency” maintenance requests.
  • Participating in community and equipment related preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Participating in inventory management of maintenance line items as needed.
  • Taking responsibility for other work-related tasks as assigned by Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.

    The ideal Maintenance Technician 2 will have:

  • Availability to work full-time: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with emergency on-call rotation as designated by the Community Manager
  • 1 or more years of related experience that demonstrates a broad knowledge of general maintenance
  • EPA Type I & II, CAMT, and/or CPO certifications are a plus!
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude
  • A valid driver’s license with proof of insurance
  • High school diploma or equivalent
