  • Drive quarterly and annual engineering planning
  • Translate company objectives into executable engineering programs
  • Manage cross-team dependencies across product, engineering & delivery teams
  • Ensure alignment between roadmap priorities and engineering capacity

Execution & Delivery Excellence

  • Define milestones, timelines, and success metrics
  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks early
  • Improve delivery predictability and transparency

Operational Infrastructure

  • Establish lightweight, scalable program management practices
  • Improve sprint and release coordination across teams
  • Track and report engineering health metrics (cycle time, throughput, predictability, capacity)
  • Lead post-mortems and continuous improvement initiatives

Stakeholder Communication

  • Provide executive-level program reporting
  • Act as escalation point for cross-team blockers
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering Leads, and Delivery
  • Ensure enterprise customer commitments are tracked and delivered

Scaling the Organization

  • Help define operating cadence as we scale our engineering organization
  • Increase engineering focus time by reducing coordination overhead

In addition, our "ideal candidate" has the following skills & experience:

  • 7+ years in engineering program management, technical program management, or similar role
  • Experience working with multiple engineering teams simultaneously
  • Background in SaaS, data platforms, infrastructure, or highly technical products
  • Demonstrated success improving delivery predictability in scaling startups
  • Experience working in remote-first environments

Skills

  • Solid technical fluency (you can meaningfully engage with engineers)
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
  • Clear, structured communicator (written and verbal)
  • Strong risk management instincts
