Role summary

ASSYST is seeking a Project Manager to oversee technology projects and production/operational activities. This role requires a blend of project management, operational support, incident/problem management, and stakeholder coordination. The ideal candidate will manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Responsibilities include coordinating daily operations, monitoring and resolving production issues, and facilitating communication between technical and business teams. The role also involves developing project documentation and identifying process improvement opportunities within a Microsoft Azure environment.

ASSYST is seeking a Project Manager to support technology projects and ongoing production/operational activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of project management, operational support, incident/problem management, and stakeholder coordination skills.

This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage project activities while also working closely with technical and business teams to ensure systems and applications remain stable, operational, and responsive to business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Manage IT projects from planning through implementation, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.

Coordinate day-to-day operational and production support activities across technical teams.

Monitor production issues, incidents, risks, and dependencies and drive them through resolution.

Coordinate with application, infrastructure, development, and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.

Manage priorities, timelines, action items, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.

Facilitate status meetings and communicate project and operational updates to stakeholders and leadership.

Develop and maintain project documentation, status reports, action logs, and operational procedures.

Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, system performance, and support efficiency.

Required Qualifications

4–7 years of experience in IT project management, IT operations, application support, or a related field.

Experience managing IT projects in a production or operational environment within Microsoft Azure platform.

Strong understanding of production support, incident management, problem management, and change management.

Experience coordinating with technical teams such as application development, infrastructure, database, cybersecurity, and/or service desk.

Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Experience with project management tools and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

U.S. Citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Federal Government security clearance, if required for the position.
