Implementation Engineer

As an Implementation Engineer at Adyen, you will partner with fast-growing and enterprise businesses to design, integrate, and scale how they use Adyen’s payment platform.

This role sits at the center of complex technical delivery and pre-sales collaboration, where you help merchants make architectural decisions that directly impact performance, scalability, and global expansion. You’ll work on complex integration challenges where design decisions shape how global merchants operate at scale.

This position is based in Chicago, and the ideal candidate is both consultative and technical.

We are looking for candidates with strong experience in APIs, integrations, and technical delivery. You will act as the primary technical partner for merchants, owning projects from solution design through to successful launch.

Total rewards & compensation

The annual base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $175,000. Compensation is based on factors including qualifications, experience, and location. Total compensation package includes equity (RSUs), 401(k), health, dental, vision, and more.

In-office expectations

This role is based in our Chicago office. We're an office-first company and expect employees to work in-office at least 3 days a week on average. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while also supporting flexibility.
