Afni is seeking Uninsured Motorist Specialists to join their Subrogation team. This role involves negotiating settlements and payment plans with uninsured motorists and other parties to recover funds related to insurance claims. Responsibilities include investigating claims, communicating with various stakeholders, researching regulations, and ensuring compliance while providing excellent customer service. The position offers a starting wage of $18.00/hour with potential for monthly performance bonuses, and a $1.00/hour differential for Spanish-bilingual employees. Training is provided for individuals with backgrounds in collections, customer service, insurance, negotiations, or call center operations. The role can be performed on a hybrid schedule in Bloomington, IL, or remotely.
Position Overview:
Afni is hiring Uninsured Motorist Specialists to join our growing Subrogation team. This position offers a starting wage of $18.00 per hour, plus the opportunity to earn monthly performance bonuses. Spanish-bilingual employees receive an additional $1.00 per hour bilingual differential. Based on performance, potential monthly bonus earnings may average approximately $1,500 (actual bonus amounts will vary and are not guaranteed).

What You’ll Do:
As an Uninsured Motorist Specialist, you will help recover funds related to insurance claims by negotiating settlements and payment arrangements with uninsured motorists and other involved parties.
Responsibilities include:
• Negotiating payment plans, settlements, and account resolutions
• Communicating with claimants, insured parties, attorneys, adjusters, and other stakeholders
• Investigating claims and evaluating recovery opportunities
• Reviewing case files and maintaining accurate documentation
• Researching applicable regulations and state laws related to subrogation recoveries
• Locating parties and developing effective recovery strategies
• Maintaining compliance while delivering exceptional customer service
• Helping maximize recoveries for our clients through positive resolutions
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Professional, goal-oriented mindset with a commitment to integrity
Preferred Qualifications:
• Collections experience
• Customer service or call center experience
• Insurance, claims, or subrogation experience
• American Collectors Association certification
• Formal training in insurance claims or claims law
