About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in San Francisco. Global, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security measures that ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our information infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to cybersecurity challenges. Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity roles with a thorough understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, and authorization is essential. Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems is required. Relevant certifications like CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable and will strengthen your application. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial for identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to convey complex security concepts to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Attention to detail is vital in recognizing potential threats and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust security architectures for IT systems and networks to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities, ensuring proactive security measures are in place.
  • Develop and execute response plans for security breaches, including immediate containment and damage mitigation strategies.
  • Continuously monitor systems for security breaches, analyze alerts, and respond promptly to incidents to minimize impact.
  • Perform regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify security weaknesses and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on security policies, best practices, and emerging threats to foster a security-aware culture.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of security measures, incident reports, and remediation activities for compliance and review purposes.
  • Collaborate closely with IT teams, management, and external partners to enhance overall security posture and implement best practices.
