About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic team at Fire-Dex. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the company's high standards of quality and safety before they reach our customers. You will work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to monitor manufacturing processes, conduct inspections, and implement quality control procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality assurance methodologies, and a passion for maintaining the integrity of safety-critical products. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; however, a degree in quality assurance, manufacturing, engineering, or related fields is preferred. Proven experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment is essential, particularly in industries related to safety equipment or textiles. Strong knowledge of quality control standards, inspection techniques, and documentation practices is required. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve quality issues efficiently are critical. Familiarity with industry-specific certifications and standards, such as ISO 9001, is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments are also essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Monitor and inspect manufacturing processes and products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Conduct regular audits and inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality metrics. Collaborate with production teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. Develop, review, and update quality control procedures and work instructions to align with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, process efficiency, and safety standards. Assist in the training of staff on quality assurance protocols and best practices. Maintain awareness of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that could impact product quality. Support external audits and certifications to ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards.
