Role summary
Aikido is seeking a Developer Relations professional based in San Francisco to engage with the developer community and build relationships. This hands-on role involves representing Aikido at events, online, and through community initiatives. The ideal candidate is active in the developer ecosystem, comfortable with technical discussions, and enjoys connecting with people. Experience with developer tools, DevOps, or security products is a plus, as is a strong online content presence. This role is crucial for growing Aikido's reputation as a developer-first security company.
Location: San Francisco
🌍 We’re making security suck less for developers.
Security tools haven’t kept up with how software is built today. They interrupt teams, slow releases, and turn security into a bottleneck instead of a capability. We built Aikido to change that. Aikido builds developer-first security products that reduce real risk without getting in the way of shipping software. We focus on what actually matters and automate the rest.
We’re taking on legacy security tools teams have been stuck with, and we’re winning. If you want to help us take market share and build products developers actually enjoy using, you’re in the right place.
Founded in 2022 by third-time founders, Aikido has $85M in the bank, a long runway ahead, and unicorn status. We’re building toward self-securing software. Join an all-star team. Take real ownership. Push boundaries. Build things that matter.
We’re looking for someone in Developer Relations (DevRel) who is actively engaged in the developer community and well-connected across the developer ecosystem.
This is a hands-on, community-first role, not a content-only or purely strategic position. You’ll be actively engaging with developers in the real world: showing up at meetups, hackathons, demo days, and industry events, building genuine relationships, and helping shape how the developer community experiences and talks about Aikido.

Bonus: runs or contributes to personal content channels (blog, newsletter, YouTube, podcast, social presence)

Social, approachable, and genuinely enjoys meeting people
Proactive, self-directed, and comfortable operating with a high level of autonomy
Based in San Francisco and excited to be in-person and out in the developer community
