Role summary
AWS Transform is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build autonomous agents for enterprise cloud migrations. This role involves designing and implementing AI-native platforms, leveraging foundation models and generative AI for network transformation and migration execution. The engineer will contribute to core platform components, collaborate with product partners, and drive engineering quality through code reviews and operational excellence. The position offers a chance to work on cutting-edge AI services at the forefront of AWS growth opportunities, with a focus on autonomous reasoning and large-scale migration capabilities.
Key job responsibilities
- Design, build, and own major components of our Agentic AI migration platform, where autonomous agents discover, plan, and execute data center migrations.
- Implement multi-agent capabilities that leverage foundation models, chain-of-thought reasoning, and tool-use patterns to solve concrete migration challenges.
- Contribute to AI-powered network transformation features, using generative models to analyze, replicate, and optimize enterprise network topologies.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and product partners within your team, contributing to design reviews and helping maintain architectural coherence across our agent frameworks.
- Improve the autonomy and accuracy of agentic orchestration for migration of servers, storage, networks, and applications through iterative development, testing, and measurement.
- Raise the bar on engineering quality through code reviews, operational excellence, and AI-native development practices; mentor junior engineers and interns, and contribute to a culture of rapid experimentation, spec-driven engineering, and high-velocity releases on Brownfield projects.
