Role summary

Apple is seeking an experienced Director of Business Management for Marketplace Platforms to oversee the strategy and business development of its app ecosystem. This role involves managing the business that enables developers to access Apple's platforms and technologies, including Core Technology Commission (CTC) and alternative app distribution. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams like finance, product, and legal to drive revenue growth and ensure regulatory compliance across iOS and iPadOS in supported markets. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in a senior leadership role for a software platform or online marketplace, with a strong background in business development and platform strategy.

Apple’s foundational technologies help developers build, grow, and scale apps and app marketplaces — including programming languages and development tools that make it easy to build apps for Apple’s ecosystem, specialized software development kits with over 250,000 APIs, beta testing services and feedback programs, distribution via marketplaces and web, and so much more. You will lead the team managing and growing the business that enables developers to access these platforms and technologies.

Description

As the Director of Business Management for Marketplace Platforms, you will work alongside cross-functional partners such as finance, product, developer relations, operations, legal, compliance, and PR to oversee Apple’s marketplace platforms strategy and business development, including the Core Technology Commission (CTC) and alternative app distribution on iOS and iPadOS in supported markets.

Minimum Qualifications

15+ years of experience in a senior role leading a global business and/or product organization for a software platform, online marketplace, digital service, content platform, or mobile e- commerce product, including meeting regulatory compliance obligations BA/BS or equivalent; JD/MBA degree a plus

Preferred Qualifications

Significant experience driving revenue growth and market development from the ground up Experience engaging eﬀectively with C-suite executives, including handling high stakes decisions with ease, delivering effective presentations, influencing decision-makers to adopt a recommendation
