Role summary

ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies, is seeking a motivated Traveling Site Safety Supervisor for their new grad program (2026-2027). This role involves educating associates on safety, overseeing site safety initiatives, controlling hazardous conditions, and enforcing ARCO's safety policies. Responsibilities include ensuring subcontractor documentation and training are complete, providing technical safety expertise, investigating incidents, and communicating safety expectations. Candidates must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be enrolled in an Environmental Health and Safety or related degree program, possess a valid driver's license, and be able to travel nationwide. Construction co-op or intern experience is preferred. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including an ESOP, tuition reimbursement, and paid volunteer leave.

We are looking for a highly motivated Traveling Site Safety Supervisor to join our team. At ARCO, every associate is empowered to drive their success. You’ll be responsible for site safety initiatives from day one!

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Educate and train associates on health and safety-related issues
  • Oversee safety on project sites during particularly high-risk scopes or as requested
  • Controls hazardous working conditions and unsafe activities through safety management and collaboration with other operations supervisory personnel
  • Motivates associates to maintain high levels of participation through awards program and other recognition
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure implementation of safety policies
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to enforce ARCO Safety Policies at the project level
  • Ensure subcontractor documentation is complete and accurate
  • Ensure required equipment training is conducted and documented
  • Clarify safety rules and provide technical expertise and solutions to safety challenges onsite
  • Communicates and documents safety expectations to safely produce quality work during safety orientations for the scope of work
  • Attends and actively engages in all site meetings to promote safety
  • Leads and collaborates with team in investigating all safety incidents to determine cause, implements corrective actions, and reports incidents, as required
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

    • NECESSARY QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0.
  • Enrolled in Environmental Health and Safety programs, or other related degree programs.
  • Co-op or Intern construction experience preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to travel nationwide to visit projects.
  • Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in your state of residence
