Role summary

This Data Analyst position in Springfield, VA requires an active TS/SCI clearance. The role involves applying business analytics and customer segmentation, using data mining for structured and unstructured information to explore relationships in disparate datasets. Responsibilities include deriving insights from complex data, maintaining and manipulating databases, identifying system enhancements, and providing training. Candidates must be familiar with MS Office, data mining, database development, and have demonstrated experience with COTS statistical software (SPSS, SAS, MatLab), COTS desktop software (MS Office and Access), and the Windows operating environment. Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and developing mathematical algorithms is also required. Desired qualifications include experience with certification programs and policy development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Position Description:Work Location: On-Site, Springfield, VA

Clearance: Active TS/SCI

Responsibilities and/or Success Factors:

  • Apply business analytics and customer segmentation and use data mining for structured and unstructured information to join and explore relationships in disparate data sets.
  • Apply advanced analytics capabilities to derive insights from a combination of unstructured, semi-structured, and structured data.
  • Maintain, move, and manipulates data between applications, using appropriate software.
  • Identify systems enhancements and new capabilities, concept demonstrators, capability business cases.
  • Provide training as new systems and capabilities move into operational use.
  • Represent the GPC Program on technical teams or consortiums.

    • Minimum Qualifications Including Certificates:

  • Familiarity with MS Office, data mining, ability to develop and manipulate, and maintain databases.
  • Demonstrated experience using COTS statistical software (SPSS, SAS, MatLab ), COTS desktop software (MS Office and Access), and the Windows operating environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with software packages used for advanced statistical analysis of operational data and tools for data visualization (Tableau).
  • Ability to develop mathematical algorithms and applications in response to complex requirements.
  • Ability to identify systems enhancements and new capabilities, concept demonstrators, capability business cases.
  • Ability to provide training as new systems and capabilities move into operational use.
  • Ability to take leadership roles on technical teams or consortiums.
  • Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills, along with good interpersonal skills and an ability to work cooperatively and effectively as a team member.
