They train operators, manage 3D site models, and optimize site positioning technology to reduce rework, maximize efficiency, and improve safety on construction sites. Key Responsibilities Installation & Calibration: Install, calibrate, and maintain GPS/GNSS, UTS (Universal Total Stations), and laser systems on various heavy equipment makes and models. Site Modeling & Data: Upload 3D models, create surface data, and verify project design specifications in the field. Technical Support: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machine control issues to minimize downtime. Training & Implementation: Train operators and site personnel on effective technology utilization. Surveying & Layout: Set up base stations and perform site calibrations to ensure data accuracy. Telematics & Health: Monitor machine health and data analytics Required Skills and Qualifications Experience: 3+ years in heavy construction, surveying, or with machine control systems. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with GPS, 3D grading systems, and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Topcon Magnet). Equipment Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction equipment operation. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot electronic, hydraulic, and software issues in field conditions.
