Role summary

This co-op position supports the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) initiative, specifically the Oracle Fusion Data Migration workstream. Responsibilities include assisting with data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and load activities, building validation reports, analyzing data quality, supporting mock conversions, logging defects, and maintaining documentation. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, an interest in ERP systems, and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Exposure to SQL, databases, and enterprise data structures across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Procurement is preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This co-op position will assist IT with the execution of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) initiative (Oracle Fusion) in support of the Data Migration workstream, which includes the following:

  • Support data migration cycles, including data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and load activities, under the guidance of the data migration team.
  • Build and run data validation and reconciliation reports comparing legacy data to the target ERP system.
  • Assist with data quality analysis: identify duplicates, gaps, and formatting issues in master and transactional data, and track remediation to completion.
  • Support mock conversion and cutover rehearsal activities, including documenting load results and maintaining issue logs.
  • Log defects found during data validation and track resolution with functional and technical teams.
  • Maintain documentation of data mappings, cleansing rules, and conversion decisions.
  • Assist with project coordination tasks such as meeting notes, status tracking, and follow-up actions.

    • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Hands-on experience with data conversion in a full ERP implementation lifecycle.
  • Exposure to enterprise data structures across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Procurement.
  • Practical skills in data analysis, reconciliation, validation testing, and documentation.
  • Mentorship from experienced IT and business professionals.

    • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Information Technology or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; attention to detail when working with large data sets.
  • Interest in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and enterprise data management.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel & Visio applications
  • Curiosity, willingness to learn, and comfort working in a fast-paced project environment.

    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exposure to SQL, databases, or reporting/analytics tools.

  • Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand
