Role summary

Atwell is seeking a Project Surveyor to manage land development projects, including residential, commercial, mixed-use, and renewable energy. The role involves partnering with Project Managers, leading various types of surveys (boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, construction), and utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center for data processing and deliverable creation. The Project Surveyor will also review calculations, collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients, and contribute to an entrepreneurial environment that prioritizes career growth and professional development through training and mentorship.

    What You’ll Do

  • Partner closely with Project Managers to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules for land development projects of all sizes.

  • Lead and oversee boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, and construction surveys with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Use your technical expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center to process data, create detailed plats, exhibits, and maps, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Review and verify survey calculations and field data, ensuring precision and compliance with project standards.

  • Collaborate daily with engineers, contractors, and clients - you’ll be the trusted survey voice on the team.

  • Continue developing your skills through paid training, industry events, and professional networking opportunities.

    • What You Bring

  • A deep understanding of Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Legal Descriptions, Easements, Title Review, and Real Estate Documents.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center - you know how to turn data into accuracy and insight.

  • Experience with Trimble field equipment preferred.

  • Prior field crew experience is a plus - you understand both sides of the process.

  • LSIT or PLS certification desired (multi-state licensure a plus).
