Endpoint Systems Engineer

We are seeking an Endpoint Systems Engineer to join Biola University’s Information Technology department. This full-time, on-campus role (La Mirada, CA) manages the lifecycle, configuration, and security of our multi-platform endpoint infrastructure (macOS, Windows, iOS/iPadOS, and Ubuntu). You will work closely with IT and academic departments to maintain efficient, reliable device environments.

Alignment with Theological Positions
The person who fills this position must be someone who personally agrees with Biola's Articles of Faith and who is supportive of the positions taken by Biola as contained in its Statement of Biblical Principles and Eschatology Teaching Position. As such, this person may not speak against or act in a manner inconsistent with these positions during the course of their employment at Biola.

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage device lifecycles (provisioning through deprovisioning) using Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune.
• Configure and maintain OS images and software deployment packages.
• Enforce security policies across all endpoints.
• Provide technical support and fulfill service requests.
• Maintain documentation and stay current with evolving management platforms.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience: 2+ years in IT; familiarity with Jamf Pro and Microsoft Intune is required.
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in managing macOS, Windows, iOS, and Ubuntu in enterprise/managed environments.
• Scripting: Experience with shell, PowerShell, or Python; experience with AI-assisted automation is a plus.
• Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and IT teams.
• Alignment: Must support Biola’s Statement of Biblical Principles and Articles of Faith.

Work Details:

• Full-time (40 hours/week), 12 months/year, non-exempt.
• Requires on-campus attendance and occasional physical labor (lifting up to 50 lbs, bending/kneeling). 

Hiring Range: $36.00 - 43.00 per hour
