Role summary

Blue Sky Innovators, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Technical SETA to support a government program manager in Arlington, VA. The role involves leading new technical analysis projects, overseeing contract execution, coordinating with mission partners, and delivering program briefings. Key responsibilities include developing analysis tools, organizing multidisciplinary teams, and creating technical documentation. A Bachelor's degree in a technical field, 10+ years of relevant experience, SAP level experience, strong communication, and organization skills are required. Experience with remote sensing, space systems, and DARPA/DoD is preferred. The hourly range is $70-$120.

The Technical SETA (part-time) will support the government program manager by leading new technical analysis projects. This includes overseeing contract execution, coordinating and collaborating with government mission partners, and communicating status/results by preparing and delivering program briefings. Experience supporting EO/IR remote sensing, space, airborne sensing, or advanced sensor development efforts is highly relevant.

The Technical SETA will be responsible for:

  • Developing modeling, analysis, and performance-assessment tools to inform technical decisions, evaluate system limitations, and support program execution,
  • Organizing and coordinating activities of a dispersed multidisciplinary team,
  • Developing technical documentation and briefs to communicate program status.

    • Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field
  • Experience working at the SAP level
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and respond to urgent requests
  • Work on-site in Arlington, VA
  • Travel to support program up to 10%
  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility

    • Preferred:

  • Experience with EO/IR remote sensing, space systems, airborne sensing, LiDAR, imaging systems, or related sensor technologies
  • Experience planning and supporting demonstrations, test events, data-collection campaigns, and technical evaluations
  • Experience building radiometric models, image or signal processing, system modeling, or hardware/software integration
  • Familiarity with distributed data processing solutions for scalability and workflows transforming imagery into custom data products.
  • Experience with DARPA, DoD, or Technical SETA work
  • Experience leading technical teams and coordinating performers, government customers, and FFRDCs
  • Clear, concise, direct communication with interest in continuous learning and technical exploration

    • Hourly range for the position is $70-$120/hr. Specific compensation will be determined by several factors including experience, education, skills, and knowledge.
