Role summary

The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, configuring, and sustaining enterprise networks for simulation sites, ensuring low latency and high reliability for training environments. This role involves managing routers, switches, firewalls, and encryption devices across classified and unclassified enclaves, troubleshooting network issues, and implementing security controls (STIGs, RMF, ATO). The position requires 5+ years of experience, a TS/SCI clearance, and relevant certifications. Experience with network automation, monitoring tools, and specific protocols like DIS is preferred. The role involves onsite support and travel.

Network Engineer

The Opportunity:
As a Network Engineer, you will help maintain and execute a network of simulators and modeling capabilities focused on providing exercise capabilities for various units. These simulators are in different locations throughout the country, and we are the client's engineering team responsible for managing the network, maintaining an Authority to Operate, improving system design and architecture, tier 1-3 troubleshooting during operations, hardware installs, lifecycle management, software releases and deployment, new features, and innovation.

As the Network Engineer, you will design, configure, and sustain the wide area and local networks that connect our geographically separated simulation sites into a single live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training environment. You will manage routers, switches, firewalls, and encryption devices across multiple classified and unclassified enclaves, and you'll make sure simulation traffic flows with the low latency and reliability that large-scale exercises demand. You will troubleshoot network issues during operations, implement and maintain STIG and RMF security controls to keep the network compliant.

You will work closely with the systems, software, cyber, and technical support engineers to integrate new sites, simulations, and capabilities into the network. This job requires an effective troubleshooter who can provide onsite support during operations and travel to outstation sites when needed. You will have a lot of growth opportunities within the program and areas for innovation on simulation systems.
