Experience with Palantir Foundry or Maven Smart Systems, R/Python for data transformations, and Microsoft tools is also required.
The Opportunity:
As a data scientist, you’re excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by a data set, and you’re fascinated by the possibilities presented by IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. In an increasingly connected world, massive amounts of structured and unstructured data open new opportunities. As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you can help turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. Across private and public sectors—from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence—we need you to help find the answers in the data.
You'll serve as part of the Booz Allen Team that supports assessing modernizing and future military capabilities across Combatant Commands. Identify and collect data sources, analyze and extract key data and information, and evaluate and monitor data quality to meet client organization's needs. You will research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through the collection, analysis, and visualization of multiple data sets. You'll apply data cleansing skills and data analytics experience by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on the audience. You'll assist and participate in data validation and cleaning to ensure the quality and integrity of the data. You'll present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, scripting languages such as SQL, Python, R, and Microsoft Office. You'll establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes. You'll produce data visualization through different tools such as Tableau, Qlik, and Power BI, documenting the processes used to produce visuals. You'll also participate in various program meetings, collaborate with stakeholders, develop documents and briefs, present results and communicate effectively with Joint Force leaders at the GS-15 and O-6 level and above.
