Role summary
Bungie is seeking a Senior Investment Designer to create engaging reward and commerce systems for their game, Marathon. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement sustainable systems, tune gameplay values for compelling player progression, and contribute to creative additions for existing systems. The ideal candidate will have professional design experience, familiarity with game development tools, and experience building rewards, player customization, and MTX systems. Experience owning features or leading small teams is also required. Nice-to-have skills include technical scripting experience and experience with shipped console or PC games, particularly live service titles.
Senior Investment Designer

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create a wide variety of pursuit and reward-based systems & content that complement Marathon’s activities
- Perform advanced scripting and tool work
- Design and create sustainable systems & content that excite and engage players
- Design creative additions and improvements for existing Rewards and Commerce systems
- Tune gameplay values to create compelling moments and a satisfying progression curve
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Professional experience as a designer
- Experience working with game development software and tools
- Experience building rewards, player customization, and MTX systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience owning features or leading small teams
- Desire to work as part of a large team and ability to take feedback and direction appropriately
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Technical experience writing text-based scripts to manage game systems (scripting in a Lua, Python, or similar language)
- Multiple shipped game systems within the console or pc space
- Experience working on games as a service/live content

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
