C.A. Fortune is seeking a full-time Retail Sales Specialist to service Hy-Vee accounts in the Minneapolis, MN area. This hybrid role involves selling, building relationships with store management, maintaining distribution, and reporting. The specialist will represent national and regional brands, pitch new products, and ensure optimal shelf space and promotional execution. Key responsibilities include utilizing mobile technology for reporting, traveling between stores, and performing physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, clean driving record, auto insurance, and a high school diploma are required. Merchandising experience of 1 year is also required. The role offers steady, consistent hours Monday-Friday, with a monthly automobile, phone, and internet stipend, along with benefits like medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401k match.

Overview of the Role

C.A. Fortune is looking for a full-time Retail Sales Merchandiser to service Hy-Vee.

You will be responsible for selling, building relationships with store management, gaining/maintaining distribution within a variety of accounts as well as reporting tasks in a reporting system, with varied merchandising opportunities

This is a position where you work independently, follow direction, and have excellent communication skills.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and maintaining auto insurance are all required

Location Hybrid will observe a hybrid schedule half day on Friday- must be local to Minneapolis, MN and surrounding areas

Salary: $45,000 - $52,000 depending on years of experience and expertise

This position is full time 37.5 hours per week

No Weekends. Work is to be completed between Monday and Friday.

What You’ll Do at C.A. Fortune

Represent a diverse portfolio of national and regional brands, calling on Hy-Vee

Function as the primary liaison between store leadership and manufacturer partners to maximize shelf space, promotional execution, and distribution – directly contributing to sales growth

Pitch new products, secure incremental placement, adapt to quickly shifting business needs while consistently delivering sales objectives in a fast-paced retail environment.

Utilize mobile technology to take photos, report findings, and complete tasks accurately and efficiently

Travel to and between store locations within the designated territory.

Must maintain a safe working environment while working in the stores

Must adhere to attendance and dress code guidelines

Must be able to perform physical activities, i.e., frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting, etc. throughout the workday

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins as required.

What You Should Bring to the Table

Local to the Minneapolis, MN area

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance are all required

High school diploma or GED equivalent is required

1 year merchandising experience preferred, but not required

Positive and professional attitude and appearance

Excellent communication skills

Highly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision

Microsoft Office Experience (Word, Excel, Email, and Internet Explorer)

Cell phone, printer, and computer with internet accessibility
