Role summary

Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer with expertise in Linux, Bash, Python, HashiCorp, Docker, and Ansible for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems. The role requires developing and maintaining system management infrastructure software and services. Candidates must hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a Polygraph and be a U.S. citizen. A Master's degree with 3 years of experience, a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, or 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer is required. Key responsibilities include Linux CLI, Bash scripting, Python development, familiarity with DCIM tools like Netbox, secret management with HashiCorp Vault, IAM solutions like Keycloak, containerization with Docker, and automation with Ansible. Experience with Git and CI/CD principles is also necessary.

Description

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who shall be responsible for developing and maintaining system management infrastructure software and services for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

  • Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

    • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

    • Required Skills:

  • Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
  • Experience developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes
  • Recent software development experience using Python
  • Familiar with Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools such as Netbox
  • Experience with Secret Management tools such as HashiCorp Vault
  • Familiar with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions such as Keycloak
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, containers
  • Experience with automation frameworks including Ansible for orchestrating deployment
  • Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins
  • Experience with Git Source Control System

    • Desired Skills:

  • Familiar with Observability and Analytics platform solutions such as Splunk
  • Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)

    Benefits

  • Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
