Role summary

Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer with 7+ years of experience to support a closed system across multiple locations. The role requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph and U.S. citizenship. Responsibilities include Linux CLI proficiency, Linux system administration, automation scripting with Bash/Python, STE/STN security compliance, basic Cisco switch configuration, and Docker/containerization experience. Description

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level systems engineer who shall collaborate closely with customer stakeholders to support a closed system that spans multiple locations across Capabilities and Operations.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

Seven (7) years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required

Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required

Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Required Skills:

Proficiency using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools

Demonstrated experience administering Linux systems

Experience developing automation scripts (Bash/Python) to streamline operational and maintenance tasks

Experience with the Agency’s STE/STN security compliance requirements and the ability to ensure systems adhere to established policies

Familiar with basic Cisco switch configuration

Familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and container

Experience with creating, maintaining, and updating clear, accurate, and accessible technical documentation

Desired Skills:

Experience administering Windows systems

Experience with NetApp storage devices

Experience with virtualization technologies including vSphere/vCenter

Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence

Benefits

Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
