Role summary

Captivation Software seeks a senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain tools and services for Atlassian products like Jira and Confluence. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver integrations that boost productivity. Candidates must possess a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Polygraph and be U.S. citizens. A Master's degree in Computer Science plus five years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus seven years, or nine years of equivalent experience is required. Key technical skills include Linux CLI, Bash/PHP scripting, Python, Java, Ansible, Docker, CI/CD, Git, and Atlassian Suite expertise.

Description

Captivation Software is looking for a senior level software engineer who shall be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining tools and services in support of the Atlassian’s suite of products including Jira and Confluence. The Software Engineer shall work closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers to deliver seamless integrations that enhance productivity and streamline workflows.

Requirements

Security Clearance:

Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity

Nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required Skills:

Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools

Experience writing Bash/PHP scripts to automate administrative tasks and workflows

Recent software development experience using Python and Java

Experience using an integrated development environment such as the Atlassian plugin software developer kit (SDK)

Experience with IaC principles and automation tools such as Ansible

Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker

Experience creating documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes

Experience with Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration

Desired Skills:

Experience with sustaining mission applications deployed in a Linux environment

Experience with interacting/training external customers

Benefits

Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
