Role summary

CaseGuard is seeking an SEO & GEO Strategist to enhance search visibility in traditional organic search and AI-generated answers. This role involves optimizing the website, creating content for AI systems, monitoring keyword performance, and collaborating with content and video teams. Responsibilities include on-page, technical, and content SEO, structuring content for AI retrieval, implementing structured data, conducting audits, and staying updated on AI search trends. The strategist will also perform keyword research, track performance using analytics tools, and work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Support. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2-4 years in SEO or digital marketing are required, with hands-on experience in SEO platforms and technical SEO fundamentals.

CaseGuard is expanding its team and seeking a SEO & GEO Strategist who is passionate about search visibility in a rapidly changing landscape. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is proactive in seeking answers and is willing to assist in various areas as needed.

The SEO/GEO Strategist owns how CaseGuard shows up in both places: traditional organic search and AI-generated answers. You will optimize our existing site, build the documentation and guide library that AI systems pull from, monitor how our keywords and prompts perform, and work alongside our content writer and video creator to make sure everything we publish gets found.

Responsibilities

  • Own on-page, technical, and content SEO across caseguard.com, including page structure, internal linking, metadata, image optimization, and site health.
  • Make CaseGuard more discoverable in AI search by structuring content for retrieval and citation: answer-first formatting, clear Q&A headings, FAQ blocks, concise machine-readable copy, and consistent entity and brand signals across the web.
  • Implement and maintain structured data that supports both traditional rankings and AI answer citation.
  • Conduct regular SEO and AEO audits (technical, content, keyword, schema, entity) and turn findings into a prioritized roadmap rather than a list of observations.
  • Stay current on how AI Overviews, answer engines, and LLM citation behavior are evolving, and adapt our approach accordingly.
  • Create and maintain guides, help center documentation, and product playbooks that serve real users first and rank and get cited as a result.
  • Run keyword research and prompt monitoring: track where CaseGuard appears (and where it doesn't) across search engines and AI assistants, at the prompt-cluster level as well as the keyword level.
  • Track performance in GA4, Google Search Console, and an SEO platform such as Semrush; report on organic traffic, rankings, AI visibility and citations, conversions, and content performance.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Support to identify high-intent topics, common customer questions, and competitive gaps worth targeting.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 2–4 years of experience in SEO, AEO/GEO, content marketing, or digital marketing.
  • Hands-on experience with an SEO platform such as Semrush (or Ahrefs, Moz, or similar), Google Search Console, and GA4.
  • Working knowledge of technical SEO fundamentals: crawling and indexation, site speed, redirects, canonicals, sitemaps, and structured data.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how AI answer engines surface and cite content.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn technical product details into clear, useful content.
  • Demonstrated ability to come up to speed quickly on a new project, balance multiple tasks, and provide a quick return on a documentation project.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort pulling, interpreting, and presenting data.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, government tech, or a regulated industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with WordPress is a plus.
  • Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary
  • Stock Option
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • 401K
  • Paid Vacation
  • Ten paid holidays per year
  • Friendly and Learning environment
  • Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000 Annually
