Role summary
Castelion is seeking a Senior RF Systems Engineer to lead the design and development of a multi-channel exciter/receiver subsystem. This role involves end-to-end ownership from architecture to production, focusing on performance, cost, and manufacturability at scale. The engineer will work within an existing system architecture, collaborating with a cross-functional team of software, firmware, power, manufacturing, and test engineers. Key responsibilities include RF system modeling, analysis, hands-on lab validation, supplier collaboration, and developing production-first standards to ensure resilience to supply chain disruptions and achieve aggressive production goals. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with experience in high-frequency RF PCB design and RF system modeling, is required.
Why Castelion, Why Now
Castelion is moving incredibly fast to develop and deliver advanced defense systems at a time when execution matters more than ever. We believe focus, ownership, and excellence are decisive advantages - and we're building a world-class team to turn bold ideas into real capability.
This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage, where you'll have significant ownership, collaborate with exceptional teammates, and make a direct, measurable impact on our mission and the future of the company - regardless of your function.
Senior RF Systems Engineer
Castelion is building next-generation, high-performance systems where cost, scale, and speed matter as much as technical excellence. We are looking for an RF Systems Engineer to lead the design and development of a multi-channel exciter/receiver subsystem that interfaces between RF hardware and digital baseband systems.
In this role, you will own the subsystem end-to-end (from architecture and design through production) ensuring it is performant, affordable, and producible at scale.
You will not be starting from scratch. You will work within an existing system architecture, leveraging established concepts, infrastructure, and a high-performing team to rapidly iterate and improve the design. Success in this role requires someone who can build on what exists, make it better, and deliver without reinventing for the sake of it.
This is not a lone-wolf role. You will be the missing piece in a tightly integrated team of engineers across software/firmware, power, manufacturing, and test. You will operate as a technical leader within that team, collaborating closely, making trade-offs, and driving the subsystem to production readiness.
