Role summary

Centri is seeking a Managing Director of Accounting Advisory to lead and grow the Advisory practice. This role involves overseeing service lines and engagement teams, providing technical accounting and financial advisory guidance to clients, and fostering client relationships. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong project management, leadership, and communication skills, with a deep understanding of GAAP and a CPA designation. This position offers a competitive salary range of $235,000-$295,000 annually and is a hybrid work environment.

    • The Managing Director of Accounting Advisory position has primary responsibility of assisting with oversight over a service line and engagement team. As a leader of the firm, the Managing Director will demonstrate excellent project management skills, client service, and positive coaching to the team members in developing technical and professional competency.

    Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist in leading the growth of the Advisory practice by partnering with Leadership in developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans in accordance with the firm’s mission and vision and the commitment to always act as a trusted partner to our clients.
  • Elevate the Centri Brand by demonstrating thought leadership and embracing our marketing and sales programs.
  • Building national relationships to further expand the Centri Brand in developing business and revenue for the Firm.
  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent engagements within the Accounting Advisory practice to provide technical accounting and financial or business advisory guidance to clients.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of complex accounting concepts to support Firm initiatives and development opportunities with internal knowledge sharing and panel discussions.
  • Provide timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the development and execution of the consulting work plan and client deliverables.
  • Collaborate directly with firm specialists/subject matter experts on complex accounting matters
  • Responsible for ensuring the engagement team has an in-depth understanding of the client’s business.
  • Assist in other duties and projects as assigned.

    • Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong working knowledge of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Thrives in an environment of changing priorities.
  • Ability to work towards enhancing technical and project management skills through on the job feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact in a team environment and foster client relationships.
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have an understanding of the services offered by the Firm, look for opportunities to represent the Firm, grow the client base and increase brand recognition.
  • Recognizes opportunities for learning by pursuing challenging assignments and a hunger to become and expert.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel skills.

    • Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
  • Active CPA
  • 12+ years of relative accounting experience; public accounting or professional services experience highly preferred.

    • Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift items up to 30 pounds at times.

    • In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, Centri discloses the compensation range for this position as $235,000-295,000 annually. This range reflects the expected base salary for candidates who meet the qualifications and experience outlined in the job posting. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, relevant experience, education, and geographic location. Additional components such as performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits may be offered as part of the total compensation package.
