Overview

We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to own our infrastructure and data platform. This role combines traditional DevOps responsibilities—CI/CD, containerization, cloud infrastructure—with database administration for MongoDB Atlas and BigQuery. You'll be the person who keeps our systems running, our deployments smooth, and our data infrastructure healthy. We run a modern stack across GCP, Oracle Cloud (OCI), and MongoDB Atlas, using Kubernetes and Docker throughout. As a B2B SaaS company serving enterprise customers, you'll also play a key role in maintaining our security posture and compliance standards, including SOC 2 Type 2.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure across GCP and Oracle Cloud (OCI).
• Manage and optimize MongoDB Atlas clusters—performance tuning, scaling, backup/recovery, and security.
• Own our BigQuery data warehouse—schema management, query optimization, and cost management.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized deployments (Docker).
• Implement infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and observability across all systems.
• Maintain and improve our SOC 2 Type 2 compliance posture—implement controls, document procedures, and support audits.
• Ensure security best practices across infrastructure and databases—access controls, encryption, vulnerability management.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident response.
• Collaborate with developers to improve deployment workflows and system reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)—Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM, and networking.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
• Experience administering MongoDB Atlas—cluster management, performance tuning, backups, and security configuration.
• Experience with BigQuery or similar data warehouse platforms—schema design, query optimization, cost management.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and Linux system administration.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar).
• Experience with SOC 2 Type 2 compliance—implementing controls, maintaining evidence, and supporting audits.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience with other compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, HIPAA, FedRAMP, GDPR).
• MongoDB certifications (DBA Associate, Atlas Administrator).
• GCP certifications (Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Professional Data Engineer).
• Experience with ETL pipelines and data integrations.
• Background in B2B SaaS or startup environments.
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD).
