Role summary

Chesapeake Controls Inc. (CCI) is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician for their growing team in Chesapeake. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience, strong knowledge of hydronic systems, pumps, and controls, and excellent troubleshooting skills. EPA certification is required, and refrigeration experience is a plus. This full-time, onsite position offers competitive hourly pay ($25-$40) and benefits.

Description

Chesapeake Controls Inc. (CCI) is looking for an HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who takes pride in troubleshooting complex systems, delivering excellent customer service, and completing high-quality work. Experience with refrigeration a plus!

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
  • Clearly communicate findings and repair recommendations to customers
  • Complete service documentation accurately and promptly
  • Participate in the rotating on-call schedule
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with customers, supervisors, and other team members
  • Identify additional repair, replacement, and improvement opportunities
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior technicians.



Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician.
  • Strong understanding of hydronic systems, pumps and controls 
  • EPA certification required.
  • HVAC certification or diploma from an accredited program preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Experience with refrigeration a plus!
