Role summary
Closure is seeking a Technical Compliance Lead to manage all technical compliance efforts for their platform, which assists law enforcement in solving crimes. This role involves internal work such as supporting compliance initiatives and audit preparedness, as well as customer-facing responsibilities like explaining security protocols and gathering feedback for the compliance roadmap. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates effectively with diverse stakeholders, and is driven by the mission to improve public safety. This position requires a strong understanding of compliance frameworks like CJIS, SOC 2 Type II, and HIPAA, along with excellent administrative and strategic navigation skills.

**Role Description:**
Closure takes security & compliance extremely seriously — including discretionary audits across CJIS, SOC 2 Type II, and HIPAA, with thousands of hours invested.
We’re looking for an executor-leader, who can take point on all of Closure’s Technical Compliance efforts. This will include,
* **Internal Work:** Supporting technical compliance efforts, team organization, audit preparedness, and more.
* **Customer Work:** Explaining, listening, needfinding, and otherwise ensuring our customers are comfortable and informing our security & compliance roadmap.
The perfect candidate knows the frameworks and how to comply with them.
But more importantly, they also are low ego — deftly navigating across strategic conversations with customers, and the day-to-day administrative work critical for a rigorous compliance regime.

* **Excellent Communication:** You are able to communicate ideas with executive stakeholders and line-level users alike, both verbally and through clear artifacts and deliverables, often in-person.

**Additional Details:**
* Comp
* Salary: $120k-$190k, with potential for adjustments based on experience.
