Wildlife Exclusion Technician - Paid Training & Career Path
Saint Augustine, FLOnsiteFull Time$20–$25 /hrPosted 4 hours ago
Benefits:
We'll teach you the trade. You bring the drive.
Some of our best technicians had never sealed a roofline before they joined us. One came from inspection work. Another came from pool service. What they had in common: they wanted to move up, they worked hard, they listened, and they put the team first. Within months they were trusted to run jobs on their own.
That's who we're looking for.
What You'll Do
As a Wildlife Exclusion Technician, you'll keep animals out of homes for good:
- Inspect rooflines, soffits, vents, and crawl spaces to find every entry point
- Seal homes using hardware cloth, metal, and professional-grade exclusion materials
- Set and check wildlife traps
- Perform attic cleanup and enzyme treatment that other companies skip
- Photograph and document every job
- Explain what you found and fixed to homeowners in plain language
You'll work on ladders and roofs, in attics and crawl spaces, and outdoors in Florida weather.
How We Train You
You won't be thrown in alone. You'll start alongside a senior technician, learn our exclusion methods step by step, and we pay for your licensing and training. Our goal: within 90 days, you're running a full roofline seal-up on your own, done right.
Your Career Path
Every level has defined expectations and pay, so you always know what it takes to move up.
- Apprentice (0–6 months): $20/hour
- Wildlife Tech Level 1 (6–12 months): $21/hour + production commission + lead bonuses
- Wildlife Tech Level 2 (12–36 months): $22/hour + sales commission + increased lead bonuses
- Senior Technician: $23/hour + leadership incentives + annual performance bonus
- Team Lead: $25/hour + leadership bonus structure
- Service Manager: salaried leadership role
Advancement is earned through performance, skill, reliability, and leadership, not tenure.
What We Provide
- Company vehicle and gas card
- Company phone, uniforms, and tools
- Paid licensing and training
- Health insurance reimbursement after 6 months
- Commissions, lead bonuses, and performance bonuses
You'll Fit Here If You:
- Want a career, not just a job, and know where you want to be in two years
- Take feedback well and put it to use the next day
- Like hands-on, technical work and take pride in a clean, finished job
- Work hard physically and keep going when it's hot
- Show up on time, every time
- Care about your team's success as much as your own
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Comfortable on ladders, roofs, and in attics and crawl spaces
- Able to lift 50+ lbs
- Stable work history
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
Nice to have, not required: roofing, construction, carpentry, handyman, pest control, or field service experience.
