This role involves 3 visits per month, offering flexible weekday scheduling and a guaranteed $1,200 per day. CMC handles all equipment, supplies, scheduling, and logistics, allowing the optometrist to focus on patient care, particularly for senior communities. The position requires an active PA optometry license, experience treating seniors is preferred, and strong clinical judgment and communication skills are essential.

Schedule: Part-Time, Flexible 3 visits per month (Weekdays)

Compensation: $1,200 guaranteed per day/visit

This is a travel-friendly role ideal for an OD seeking supplemental, high-rate per-diem work with consistent monthly coverage.

What You’ll Do

Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments

Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within your scope of practice

Prescribe corrective lenses and provide appropriate treatment recommendations

Collaborate with clinic staff as part of an integrated care team

Deliver patient-centered care in a structured outpatient setting

Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program

Active Pennsylvania optometry license

Experience treating senior populations preferred

Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills

Comfortable practicing in outpatient clinic environments

Willingness to travel between Wilkes‑Barre and Minersville

Schedule

Part Time (3 visits per month total)

Wilkes‑Barre: 2 visits/month

Minersville: 1 visit/month

Typical hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm

No nights

No weekends
