is seeking a
Cybersecurity Engineer III(Cyber Defense Analyst-Advanced) PLM-SMS
to support our client in a senior technical role that combines cybersecurity defensive operations with specialized lifecycle management for maritime or weapons systems.

Key Responsiblities

- Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO)
: Monitor, detect, and analyze unauthorized activity on Navy networks. You will lead incident response teams to contain, eradicate, and remediate compromised devices.
- RMF & Accreditation
: Oversee the
Risk Management Framework (RMF)
process to ensure systems maintain their
Authority to Operate (ATO)
. This includes managing artifacts in
eMASS
.
- Naval PLM Support
: Manage weapon system technical data, including configuration baselines and 3D models, through its entire lifecycle. This ensures that cybersecurity hardening is integrated into the system's design and maintenance.
- Vulnerability Management
: Conduct regular audits and use tools like
ACAS/Nessus
and
STIG Viewer
to identify and mitigate system weaknesses.
- Technical Leadership
: Mentor junior analysts (Level I and II) and act as a senior liaison between engineering, IT, and government stakeholders

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Must have a GIAC, GCFA, CISSP, or CASP+ Certification.
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering from an ABET accredited or NCAE designated institution.
  • In addition to our degree you must have greater than 7 years of professional experience in engineering or IT.
  • Must meet the advanced proficiency level for the Cyber Defense Analyst (511) work role within the Navy Cyber Workforce Model, you must satisfy specific foundational and performance requirements defined by DoDM 8140.03.
  • Experience leading a team in in software development and computer-based training.
  • Mastery of advanced cybersecurity concepts and processes.
  • Capacity to provide expert guidance and mentorship to others.
  • Successfully perform in non-routine and highly complex environments.
