Cybersecurity Analyst
Role summary
Cyber Focus AI is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join a client's team. The role involves designing, engineering, analyzing, and assessing cybersecurity programs, supporting GRC, IAM, and data security. Responsibilities include cyber threat monitoring, prevention, remediation, incident response, and developing cybersecurity policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or an entry-level certification like Security+, 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity technologies, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred qualifications include intermediate certifications (SANS, CISA, CISM), knowledge of security regulations (HIPAA, PCI-DSS), and familiarity with assessment tools and scripting.

What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Design, engineer, analyze, and assess key elements of the cybersecurity program
- Support governance, risk, and compliance activities, identity and access management, and data security
- Conduct cyber threat monitoring, prevention, remediation, and incident response
- Develop policies, procedures, and guidance for cybersecurity practices
- Participate in project delivery tasks and core incident management work
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or entry-level cybersecurity certification, such as Security+
- 3-5 years of related work experience in cybersecurity technologies and processes
- Knowledgeable experience in troubleshooting, analysis, and problem resolution
- Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
- Attention to detail and sound judgment in decision-making
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Intermediate-level certifications, such as SANS (GSEC, GPEN, GCIH), CISA, or CISM
- Understanding of information security regulations like HIPAA Privacy and Security, PCI-DSS
- Familiarity with cybersecurity assessment tools and techniques
- Knowledge of scripting and automation principles
- Experience working in and developing a threat intelligence program
