
Senior Financial Data Analyst
Our Deloitte Finance Transformation team practices to help chief financial officers, controllers, and finance teams define and execute their finance and global business services agendas and strategies. You will work with leading-class teams and solutions, helping clients navigate challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to unlock value. Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we partner with clients to transform finance.
Work You'll Do
As a Project Delivery Specialist on the project, you will:
- Analyze the current UoT framework and develop a strategy to achieve and sustain complete transaction population coverage across the full financial statements, including solutions that meet accounting transaction and audit requirements.
- Assess the UoT control environment, design completeness controls for government review and approval, and support implementation of approved controls to strengthen audit readiness and long-term sustainment.
- Sustain and enhance the AI/ML model used to produce the Quantitative Drill Down linking financial statement line items to supporting transactions by assessable unit, enabling sampling and testing support for the Independent Public Auditor.
- Reconcile data pathways to the financial statements to validate the completeness of reported balances across source and reporting systems, including DDRS, GAFS-R, DEAMS, and other general ledgers.
- Develop and recommend end-of-month general ledger maintenance oversight controls, track changes to posting logic and critical data tables, and maintain crosswalks to reporting systems to support accurate aggregation and reporting.
- Coordinate with DSCA, DFAS-IN SCA, and other stakeholders to review ongoing reconciliation efforts, validate results, and support remediation of identified issues affecting financial reporting completeness.
- Improve the user experience for enterprise data access, discovery, and cataloging in VAULT/Advana by providing guidance on data usability, quality, maturity, and mission context across varied stakeholder groups.
- Support integration of analytical tools, gather user feedback, apply leading practices, and inform roadmap development to improve data transparency, decision support, and audit responsiveness.
- Prepare clear briefings, recommendations, and audit-ready documentation that communicate control design, reconciliation results, model outputs, and remediation priorities to leadership and auditors.

Qualifications
Required
:
- Bachelor's degree
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Active Secret security clearance required
- 4+ years experience supporting audit readiness, treasury reporting, internal controls, financial reporting, or federal financial management
- 4+ years experience in a combination of the following areas:
- Supporting or sustaining analytics, AI/ML, or model-driven processes in a controlled environment, including documentation, monitoring, and data quality considerations
- Maintaining crosswalks, mappings, or transformation logic between source systems, general ledgers, and reporting outputs
- Supporting data usability, governance, cataloging, or user-centered improvements in enterprise data environments is preferred
- Ability to work on-site in Prince George County, MD up to 5 days per week
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,225 to $163,100.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
