Role summary

ITnova is seeking a Senior Financial Data Analyst to support its Budget team. This role involves technical services for budget management, financial performance analysis, and compliance with consultant payments. Responsibilities include reviewing monthly financial performance, assisting with annual budget preparation, coordinating consultant accruals, reviewing month-end postings, identifying variances, preparing charge code reclassifications, and researching ad hoc reports. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in complex financial analysis, reporting, budget forecasting, and data analysis in a large organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills, and experience with SAP, Peoplesoft, Oracle Essbase, and Hyperion are essential. The role also requires the ability to reconcile financial data, work with large datasets, knowledge of GASB accounting principles, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. This is a remote, full-time position.

ITnova is seeking an Senior Financial Data Analyst to support the to support the Budget team. The Senior Financial Data Analysts will provide technical services that prepare and manage the Department’s budget, overtime, and financial performance, ensure compliance with consultant payments, and maintain records.

Responsibilities

  • · Support the Budget team by reviewing and analyzing the department’s monthly financial performance.
  • · Assist with preparation of the annual budget for Capital, Operating, and Overhead-funded programs.
  • · Prepare and coordinate monthly consultant accruals by verifying Purchase Orders and supporting documentation.
  • · Review month-end postings for accuracy and identify financial variances.
  • · Prepare and submit charge code reclassifications as needed.
  • · Research and prepare ad hoc project data reports.
  • · Validate adherence to charge code guidelines for construction and consultant expenditures.
  • · Track deferred projects and maintain related amortization schedules.

Requirements:

  • · Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • · 5+ years of experience in complex financial analysis and reporting, budget forecasting and data analysis within a large organization
  • · Proficiency in PC applications (Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to SharePoint, Lists, etc.)
  • · Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros/VBA, etc.)
  • · Demonstrated experience using SAP financial modules, Peoplesoft, Oracle Essbase and Hyperion with SmartView software applications
  • · Ability to reconcile financial data
  • · Ability to work with large datasets
  • · Knowledge of GASB accounting principles
  • · Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • · Demonstrated experience working independently
  • · High attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies
  • · Must be a team player
