Role summary

Diana Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) for a full-time position in Allen, TX. This role involves independently managing full-scope midwifery care, including obstetric and gynecological services, in an outpatient clinic. The CNM will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, provide expertise on Labor & Delivery, triage emergent obstetric patients, and offer first assist surgical support. The position requires current RN and APRN licenses in TX, AMCB certification, NRP, and BLS certifications. Experience in hospital-based intrapartum, postpartum, and OB triage care is preferred.     You will:

  • Independently manage and provide full-scope midwifery care in our outpatient clinic including comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services
  • Collaborate with clinical colleagues (including OB/GYNs; RNs; LCSWs, health coaches, lactation counselors, childbirth educators and other specialists)
  • Provide day-to-day expertise and leadership on Labor & Delivery, including in-house clinical coverage
  • Triage and care for emergent obstetric patients, working collaboratively with RNs and OB/GYNs
  • Provide first assist surgical support
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Attend skills training and drills for high acuity/low frequency events

    • Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing intrapartum, postpartum, and OB triage in a hospital setting (2 yrs experience preferred)
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative OB/CNM practice
  • Strong communication skills and intrapersonal skills
  • Value patient preferences/choice, shared decision making, and a holistic care approach
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date
  • Active certification with AMCB
  • Current RN and APRN license in TX
  • Additional certifications in Obstetric Ultrasound, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and/or Lactation consultation are preferred
