Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a
Mid-Level DevOps Engineer
based in the United States. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
The day-to-day responsibilities include automating deployment processes, managing cloud environments, improving system reliability, and collaborating with development and QA teams to ensure efficient and secure software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain
CI/CD pipelines
for efficient code deployment
- Manage and optimize
cloud infrastructure
(AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Automate infrastructure using
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline build, release, and deployment processes
- Implement and maintain containerization solutions using
Docker and Kubernetes
- Ensure security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
- Continuously improve DevOps processes, tools, and workflows
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in
DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
- Strong experience with
CI/CD tools
(Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Proficiency in
cloud platforms
(AWS preferred, Azure or GCP acceptable)
- Hands-on experience with
Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
- Strong scripting skills in
Python, Bash, or Shell scripting
- Knowledge of
version control systems
(Git)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools
- Solid understanding of
Linux/Unix systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with
microservices architecture
- Familiarity with
security and compliance standards (SOC2, HIPAA, etc.)
- Knowledge of
configuration management tools
(Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Experience working in
Agile/Scrum environments
- Exposure to
cost optimization strategies in cloud environments
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
