Role summary
Seeking a Distribution Specialist for the 2nd shift to manage product distribution to customers. Responsibilities include managing the reception of new items and POs, scheduling shipments, monitoring high-profile item status, and identifying and communicating distribution issues. The role requires extensive product knowledge, understanding of distribution processes and plan-o-grams, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. The position involves constant walking, standing, and light physical exertion in a temperature-controlled environment, requiring the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
We are seeking a Distribution Specialist is responsible for managing the distribution of Product to all customers.
Responsibilities:
- Development of team members in supporting function.
- Attend weekly meetings as necessary.
- Manage the daily reception of new items and add to Distribution Master by chain upon arrival.
- Manage the daily reception of new POs from DC Customers and schedule POs to ship in a timely manner.
- Manage POs for all DC customers
- Create orders for managed customer shipments and new product distribution – including Quick Ships.
- Monitor the status of product shipments for high profile or special placement items
- Identify items allocated but not distributed weekly. Communicate issues to Director of Distribution and accountable salesperson.
- Other duties as assigned by management

ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: The daily responsibilities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, sitting, walking and standing functions. Frequent repetitive motion activities are required. Must be able to read print and computer based materials and to do so with consistent accuracy. Most of these functions require light physical exertion and are conducted in a temperature controlled environment with occasional exposure to hot and cold temperature.
INTELLECTUAL/EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The occupant of this position must be able to perform the responsibilities of the position well under pressure. The position requires adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. This position requires the ability to manage a number of projects at one time, and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of others. It also requires adaptability to fluctuate between priorities on a daily basis while being responsive to needs as they arise
