Role summary

The Esthetician will work directly with doctors and patients to evaluate skin conditions and recommend skincare products and treatments to improve eye care. Responsibilities include performing various state board-approved services such as facials, chemical peels, waxing, brow/lash tints, makeup application, and laser hair removal. The role also involves managing product inventory, assisting with seminars, maintaining patient records, and adhering to all company policies and procedures. A professional appearance, strong customer service skills, and proficiency in basic computer applications are essential.

SUMMARY

As an Esthetician within Eyecare Partners, you will work directly with the Doctor and patient to evaluate a patient’s skin condition and offer recommendations to improve eye care through skin care products and treatments. Additionally, you may recommend, consult or perform treatments related to skin care and maintaining the health of the eye and surrounding area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides evaluation of skin condition and recommends skin care products and services related to safe eye care

Demonstrates professionalism during interactions with patients, coworkers, and vendors

Performs all State Board-approved services as defined by company, such as facials, chemical peels, silk peels, waxing, brow/lash tints, make up application, laser hair removal, IPL, IR, Dermal Genesis, etc.

Gives quarterly report on products sold and remaining inventory and maintains product inventory

Assists with informational seminars

Maintains records of patient visits, which include history, examination and treatments along with photos when necessary

Adheres to all policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service

Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization

Ability for basic to intermediate problem solving, including mathematics

Specialty knowledge of systems relating to job function

Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; general understanding of HIPAA guidelines

Favorable result on background check required

Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required

Previous medical office experience preferred

Previous optical experience strongly preferred

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Esthetician license required

SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY

Basic knowledge of computer systems and applications required

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role requires a variety of physical activities to effectively perform essential job functions. The position involves frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%), with regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25–50%). Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs. Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands are essential, as the role demands constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology. Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—is required 100% of the time. Occasional driving or climbing may also be necessary.
